While JustEat, Deliveroo and UberEats do hold a certain magic on a hangover, motivating yourself to leave the duvet has the power to tickle your tastebuds and support local businesses.
Despite the many restrictions currently in place during our second national lockdown, street food markets are still open and allowed to serve customers with takeout grub.
Perhaps the most infamous London hotspot boasting the capital’s best street cuisine, is a place that needs no introduction… Camden Market.
Think New York deli classics, wok ‘n’ roll noodles, Taiwanese fried chicken, dirty vegan food, Venezuelan hot pockets, sushi heaven, immensely satisfying churros, giant pizza slices, falafel galore, and trusty fish and chips. You name it, Camden has it.
And better yet, this market is open daily from 10am to 6pm so there’s no excuse.

Throwing in a healthy dose of competition is Borough Market, near London Bridge.
Here you can try Middle East inspired dishes, including mezze platters and shawarmas aplenty, as well as an eclectic choice of roasts, tacos, oysters or cooked-to-order pasta.
While they are closed Sundays, they operate a six-day week timetable including longer hours on a Saturday as they open from 8am.
If you’re based east, then trendy Broadway Market might be a little closer to home.

Against the backdrop of Regent’s Canal, soak up the history of the street that has been in use since Roman times and is said to be the inspiration behind EastEnders, as you meander from greengrocer to fishmonger to butcher amongst the hipsters.
For those down south, there’s also plenty on offer from Lewisham’s Brockley Market, Greenwich Market and Bermondsey’s Maltby Street Market.
Thanks to the kind folk over at Time Out, they have collated a list of all the markets currently open for business and their opening times.
