‘This is UNREAL’: Girl, 10, in epic drum battle with Foo Fighters legend Dave Grohl

Get your ear plugs at the ready, as we’re in for the mother of all drum battles.

It seems Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has finally met his match…

In a 10-year-old girl.

Aspiring musician Nandi Bushell, who is already taking the world by storm having appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, tried her luck on Twitter by tagging the legendary musician in a tweet as she challenged him to a battle.

Posting a video of herself bashing out infamous hit Everlong, from the band’s 1997 album The Colour and the Shape, Nandi tweeted: “My dream is to one day jam with Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins [Foos drummer] and all the Foo Fighters!

“Mr Grohl I would love to have a drum battle with you! I LOVE Everlong it’s really hard to play as it’s so fast but so much FUN!”

The footage swiftly went viral, with the video of Nandi and her Foos- grafittied kit clocking up over 2million views so far.

Honouring her request, Grohl took the bait and replied to Nandi saying “challenge accepted” alongside a video of himself showing off his stick-spinning skills as he rocked out to Them Crooked Vultures track Dead End Friends.

The former Nirvana musician, 51, added: “Haven’t played these songs in a loooooong time… thanks for the inspiration!!!”

Grohl then encouraged Nandi to keep the competition going, saying: “Your move!!!”

Needless to say, Nandi happily obliged, as she replied: “Challenge Accepted! Mr Grohl you are amazing! Thank you so much.”

She added: “This is UNREAL! I can’t believe Dave Grohl actually accepted my drum battle, Thank you! Now it’s my turn to learn ‘Dead End Friends’! I am going to checkmate this one too! Thank you, Harper [Grohl’s daughter] for lending your Dad the kit!”

Something tells us this might not be last time we hear of Nandi.

With an almighty 100,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel, and a casual 600k on Instagram, the star-in-the-making is clearly making quite an impression already.
