Crazy golf opens in trendy Hackney hotspot – and it’s bring your own booze!

Just this week, galleries and museums are beginning to open their doors to the public again. But if you’re more of a doer than a viewer, then we have just the treat for you.

A new crazy golf course is hitting east London.

That’s right, Plonk Golf is opening a trendy Hackney hotspot.

The nine-hole golf course – which acts as a sister site to locations in Camden and Forest Hill of the same name – is situated in a yard overlooking the trees on London Fields park.

If you’re not exactly king or queen of the swingers, then you can leave your mates to it and relish the delicacies of the ice-cream parlour or even channel your inner 80s kid on the array of retro arcade machines and board games on offer.

Oh, and did we mention it’s a bring your own booze affair?!

The only twist, guests are advised to bring a bottle of spirits per four to six people which the onsite mixologists will then transform into a bespoke cocktail jug to share.

So, if you’re planning to smuggle in your 24-pack of beer, you might have to think again.

The packages range from evening sessions to all-day picnics, starting from £20.

With a food menu that offers something for everyone – from pastries for the sweet-tooth crew to jackfruit sourdough sarnies for the vegans and a classic full English breakfast for those who might need a hair of the dog – it’s impossible not to be tempted.

And don’t even get us started on the sorbet floats! We’re already eyeing up the Fat Joe, which sounds reminiscent of an Espresso Martini with its stracciatella gelato (milk-based ice-cream with chocolate in it), coffee, and caramel syrup recipe.

We might just need to add a splash of voddy though…

To get involved, check out Plonk.
