While lockdown measures are easing and ‘the new normal’ is a welcome change from quarantine, many of us remain anxious about catching COVID-19 and our futures.
However, a new drink has come to the rescue which claims to help us de-stress.
Say hello to ThreeDots.
ThreeDots is a naturally-flavoured CBD sparkling water, infused with three botanicals Ashwagandha, Ginseng, and Lemon Balm – which work together with CBD at a molecular level to essentially ‘hack’ the stress responses in the body.
Ashwagandha is said to have healing properties, and is popular for helping to ease anxiety and improve immunity. Similarly, Ginseng is used as a tonic to replenish energy. While Lemon Balm is believed to have calming benefits.
And CBD (cannabidiol) itself is a non-psychoactive compound in a class called ‘cannabinoids’ which occur naturally in the hemp plant.
There has been a huge rise in people who use CBD frequently, with reports that it helps decrease anxiety, relieves pain, reduces inflammation, and eases stress.
Boasting no allergens, no sweeteners, no preservatives, and no GMOs, this vegan-friendly drink comes in three flavours – blueberry hibiscus, peach rooibos, and grapefruit basil.
Proving their ethos is all about mental and physical wellbeing, ThreeDots recently shared their top five isolation tips to get through the lonely social distancing era.
Firstly, the company – founded in December 2019 – believe in taking time for yourself, saying ‘now is the time to let go of guilt and embrace extra time‘.
Secondly, they promote the importance of getting your brain into a ‘flow state’ at least once a day. You can do this through meditating, playing an instrument or even gardening, by ‘letting yourself zone out to get completely engrossed in whatever you’re doing’.
Thirdly, they recommend personal grooming and looking after your body as ‘it feels good to feel good (and it also balances out the pyjama look)’.
Next up, they state that breathing exercises are the ultimate life hack. In particular, they celebrate The Wim Hof Method claiming, ‘it is a favourite over at ThreeDots’.
And last but not least, they suggest trying to sit in silence for just a few minutes whenever you can by stopping yourself from ‘doing’ and just letting yourself ‘feel’.
ThreeDots maintain that ‘this pandemic not only calls on us to care for others but also to be kinder to ourselves, taking comfort in the little things and practicing self-compassion’.
Think we’ll be reaching for a trial taste of the blueberry, then…
